BIO
- Over 50 years of gardening...from following my Grandparents around their small farm in Wakefield, my Mom and Aunt in their yards, and to friends & neighbors in theirs.
- I have a Masters Degree in Business Education from Boston University and have taught Business/computer/crafts/garden classes for over 25 years.
- Member of the Backyard Gardeners Club, past member Wakefield Garden Club, past member Crystal Garden Club, and a current member Massachusetts Horticulture Society Volunteer 10 years.
- Presenter at numerous local organizations, garden clubs, and was a presenter at the New England Spring Flower Show for 5 years.
- Presenter at MassCue, educational and technical conference in Massachusetts and attend the annual conferences as well as the Christa McCauliffe Conference in NH
- I have taught Garden Classes for Wakefield Adult Education and presently hold garden classes in my backyard during the summer.
- Weekly garden column for the Wakefield Observer newspaper and numerous articles for the Wakefield Daily Item, The Wakefield Observer, and the Reading Chronicle.
- Instructor - cooking classes for the Wild Oats grocery stores and craft classes for children at the Everett Public Library Eric's Garden Center, Rte. 28, Reading - demonstrator.
- This is my hobby, not my job, maybe I should say my passion! I would like to spread the word and help people become organic gardeners and eat out of their backyards (or community garden).
